Etsy Find: Gemini Studios

Confession time…I have an addiction to Etsy. I look for absolutely any excuse to search the trillion, kabillion items on sale. Whether it’s for a new redesign project, looking for a gift or pretending like I have money to spend, I can search for hours upon hours. Seriously, how can you resist?!

I was digging around the website for what type of art I wanted to showcase in the living space of my apartment (check out what its redesign status is here). I LOVE Wicker Park so I was looking through the work of Chi artists for a really modern take on some city memorabilia. And here’s the best of the best that I came across:

Isn’t it amazing? This mixed media piece came from Gemini Studios (check out their shop here). I love how the piece contrasts such a modern graphic approach with the rustic look of the text. Art Collection idea #1: add this piece within a collage of Chi-inspired artwork. Another piece that caught my eye in the Gemini Studios shop was this one:

Like I mentioned earlier, I’m looking for a combination of modern and whimsical and this is the perfect combination of the two! I’m going to be putting together a few collage ideas in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned!
