Color Inspiration: Purple

I’m not much of a purple girl. I’ve always put the color in the same category as princess tiaras and cotton candy but these images have me rethinking my whole perspective. I’m not only ready for some plums and violets to be added to my wardrobe but also might have found the perfect accent color for my living room scheme.

I absolutely love the second to last picture of the interior. But, I wonder if its purely the lighting and the angle from which the shot is taken that helps give it balance. Something about the blue ceiling bothers me. While the purple is neither garish nor too pastel like, the blue seems much too bold over the purple.
